1973 Buffet Crampon R13 Bb Clarinet--Recent Cork/Synthetic Overhaul!

One of several professional clarinets we are offering for sale.  This is a Buffet Crampon R13 Bb clarinet.  S/n 143XXX makes it a vintage 1973 horn, and right in the sweet spot of Buffet’s Golden Era.  It is in excellent condition:  nickel plating about 99% with little if any wear at all.  Wood is a great billet of grenadilla with a tight, straight grain and no chips, cracks, or repairs.  Tenons are squared with no wobble between joints.  Has obviously been overhauled within the past couple of years with a cork upper joint and synthetic lower, with all the pads still in excellent condition.  Just through the shop where it was bored oiled and adjusted.  Plays very nicely across the entire instrument with nice intonation, a crisp and even feel to the keywork, and a dark tone with excellent projection.  Cork grease and key oil are for local pickup only, but it does included a Vandoren 5RV mouthpiece, Buffet cap and ligature in silver plate, and a new ProTec microfiber cloth.  Comes in the period case (the 150th Anniversary style) which is also in good condition.  A great clarinet in great condition from one of the most desirable periods ever, and about 2,500 less than new!
