Accent OB791G Intermediate Wood Oboe--Left F, 3rd Octave Key!
One of several oboes we are offering for sale. This is an Accent Model OB791G Performer Series—an intermediate, step-up oboe with tons of keys not found on beginner oboes and even most intermediate oboes, including many Yamahas, Buffets, and even Fox 330’s: the low Bb key, Bb vent, F# key tab, articulated C#, banana key, F-resonance key, extra trills, the all-important left F, and even the third octave key! It is in excellent condition: grenadilla wood composite body gives you the sound of a wooden oboe with the crack-resistance of a resin instrument. No chips, cracks, or repairs. Plating 99% with little if any wear at all, and note that this is silver plate rather than nickel, which lasts longer, looks better, and costs about $300 more. Pads are in exceptional condition, and it is just back from Cook Instrument Repair where it was regulated and adjusted. Completely ready to play right out of the box if you’re picking it up. May need very tiny adjustments after shipping, depending on how many bumps the delivery truck hits. Cork grease is for local pickup only, but it does include two reeds, and both upper and lower silk swabs. All in an excellent, slim hard case which is perfect for backpacks, and includes a zippered case cover with handles and an exterior pocket—worn but serviceable. Sells new for $3,100, so snatch this one up before the back-to-school rush, and save more than $1,300!

Product Description
The “A” key is the upper right hand side key, used to trill G#-A and Ab-Bb in the first and second octave (diagram #1).
The “B” trill key is used to trill A#-B in the first and second octaves (diagram #2).
The “banana” key is used as an alternative to the little finger key for C, and avoids sliding the little finger (diagram #3).
A larger opening in the right hand third finger key allows more resonance and better intonation (diagram #4).
