Bach Stradivarius C-Trumpet For Sale! This is a model C180L—an ML bore horn in the key of C. It is in excellent condition:  lacquer about 98% with some very spots of loss on the end of the 2nd valve tuning slide and under the leadpipe, but as you can see in the photos, the brass polishes up so nicely as to make the lack of lacquer nearly invisible.  No signs of repairs or dent removal, and perhaps just the very tiniest imperfections that you really have to go looking for. Just through the shop where it was cleaned, lubed, and had all new tuning slide O-rings, water key corks and piston felts installed. Valves are fast and smooth and quiet with excellent compression. All tuning slides are free. New water key cork. This is the version with the 239 bell for a big, rich, dark fat sound compared to the 229, and the 25C leadpipe which gives a good tone center without the breathiness of the 25H. S/n 421XXX makes this 1994-1995.  Comes in an excellent Bach double case which is itself in excellent condition. Note that his horn is oiled with synthetic oil, and you must use the same or thoroughly clean the pistons and casings prior to switching to a petroleum-based product.  Also note that available separately we are selling a set of tuning slides to turn this into a Bb horn.  Sells for $3,999 new, so save about two grand and snatch up the nicest you’re likely to find on the used market!
