Backun MOBA Bb Clarinet W/ Rare Rose Gold Keys!

Selling a marvelous and hard-to-find pair of Backun MOBA clarinets.  This one is the Bb in grenadilla.  It is in exceptional condition:  one very short crack in the middle socket, sealed beautifully by Jonathan Copeland of Clarinets By Copeland.  Backun reinforces this tenon with an integral metal ring, so the socket is non-weightbearing and should never be a problem.  Plating about 99.9% with no noticeable wear.  Fairly recent overhaul in what appear to be black Valentino Masters Series pads, which still appear nearly new.  Plays extremely well, but of course if you’re purchasing a clarinet at this level, you probably have your favorite tech who tweaks all your instruments to your preferences.  Includes 66 and 64 cocobolo barrels, cloth, and a Vandoren 10-reed case.  Best of all, it’s in a beautiful rose gold rather than standard gold plate, which per Backun is “custom” and “very limited.”  I’ve got this in a Buffet Crampon deluxe attache case, but if you have your own, feel free to shoot me an offer for $100 less.  Sells new for $9,249 plus whatever the custom rose gold may have been.  An exceptional horn at more than $3,000 savings, and not often available used!
