Buffet Crampon R13 Bb Clarinet--Silver Plate, New Pads!

One of several Buffet Crampon clarinets we are offering for sale.  This is a hard-to-find 1975 150th Anniversary Edition in Bb.  It is in exceptional condition and right in the sweet spot of Buffet’s Golden Era.  Wood is a marvelous bit of aged grenadilla with a nice, tight grain and no chips, cracks or repairs.  Tenons are square with no wobble between joints.  Silver plated rather than nickel (another $580 upgrade!) about 99.5% with little if any wear at all.  Just through the shop where it was inspected, bore oiled, and had all new pads installed:  Ferree’s B17 de’Jur double-bladder, pressed-felt on the lower, and Ferree’s premium cork on the upper.  Plays delightfully with a big, dark tone and open feel.  Cork grease and key oil are for local pickup only and will not be shipped, but it does include the Buffet reed case and one reed, a vintage Buffet three-down, one-up hard rubber mouthpiece on a Riffault blank in a C facing, and the silver-plated Buffet cap and ligature.  All in the original 150th Anniversary case with minor wear.  A great-playing, hard-to-find clarinet from the greatest period in Buffet’s history, and about $2,700 less than brand new!
