Buffet Crampon R13 Clarinet W/ Kraus Overhaul!

One of several professional clarinets we are offering for sale.  This is a Buffet Crampon R13 Bb clarinet in nickel.  S/n 1831XX makes this 1977, a great period in Buffet history.  It is in excellent condition:  plating about 98% with just a tiny bit of wear; wood is a great, heavy billet of grenadilla with small dings and scratches no chips, cracks, or repairs.  Tenons are square with no wobble between joints.  Just through the shop where it was disassembled, cleaned, bore oiled, polished, all key corks replaced, lubed, and repadded with all new Kraus synthetic pads (one of the longest lasting, quietest pads you can get) and Ferree’s premium cork pads on the register key and two of the lower keys.  Plays very evenly across all registers with a full, dark tone, excellent projection, and smooth action. Includes a silk swab, Vandoren B45 mouthpiece, ligature, cap, and mouthpiece saver.  Cork grease is for local pickup only and will not be shipped.  All in the slim Buffet pouchette case with a broken leather handle, but also includes a newer zippered case cover with external zippered pocket, interior organizers, and shoulder strap.  That nice, vintage, 70’s R13 sound at about $2,000 less than new!
