Getzen 896 Professional 4-Valve Flugelhorn

We are pleased to offer for sale this Getzen Eterna Model 896, Bb, four-valve flugelhorn. S/n KH21XX.  It is in very good condition: Lacquer about 98% with just a few small spots of wear.   Small dents and dings here and there, but nothing major.  A little unevenness from prior dent removal mostly along the bell bow.   All tuning slides are free, valves are fast and quiet with almost no wear at all.  0.460” bore, 6.5” yellow brass bell, nickel silver valve pistons.  Plays all smooth and buttery with a gorgeous, mellow tone. Similar to the more common 895—which we’ll also be listing shortly—but that fourth valve lets you play lower, gives you lots of alternate fingerings, and helps fine-tune notes similar to a trigger. Includes the original hard case in exceptional condition with two keys, a DVD, and polishing cloth.  If you are local, it includes the Blue Juice valve oil and Selmer tuning slide grease, but these can’t be shipped.   Typically sells for $2,089 when you can actually find it, but it’s out of stock pretty much everywhere.  An exceptional pro flugel to start your new year at conservatory!
