Getzen Eterna 896S Silver 4-Valve Flugelhorn For Sale!

One of several professional flugelhorns we are offering for sale. This is a Getzen 896S four-valve professional flugelhorn in silver. 0.460” bore, 6.5” yellow brass bell, nickel silver valve pistons, Amado water keys. It is in good condition: silver about 95% with some wear mostly on the fourth valve tucked up underneath where it's hard to see, and then a couple other smalls spots as seen in the photos. Dings and imperfections throughout with signs of past dent removals and repairs, and could probably be made tons better by your local brass tech. This site limits the number of photos we can upload, but more are available on eBay, though you'd be nuts to purchase it from there.  Functionally it is in excellent condition: Just through the shop where it was chem cleaned, detergent cleaned, lubed and polished. All tuning slides are free, valves are fast and quiet with excellent compression. Note that this is oiled with SYNTHETIC oil, and you must use the same or thoroughly clean the pistons and casings prior to switching to a petroleum-based product. Similar to the more common 895, but that fourth valve lets you play lower, gives you lots of alternate fingerings, and helps fine-tune notes similar to a trigger. (And we have the three-valve and three-valve trigger versions for sale as well!)  Comes in the original hard combo case with plenty of room for your trumpet or stands and accessories with lots of cosmetic wear but in solid condition. (If you already have a case or prefer a different case such as a ProTec double or triple or Reunion Blues leather bag or RB Voyager triple case, please let us know.) Plays all smooth and buttery with a gorgeous, mellow tone—a favorite for trumpet doublers, and the least expensive 896 we've ever offered!
