Golden Era Buffet Crampon R13 Bb Clarinet W/ Valentino Master's Overhaul!

One of several professional clarinets we are offering for sale. This is a mid-60's Buffet Crampon R13 Bb clarinet in silver plate. It is in excellent condition: wood is a nice, heavy billet of aged grenadilla with no chips, cracks or repairs. Tenons have very little wear with no wobble between joints. Silver plated rather than nickel (a $560 upgrade!) and about 99.5% intact with just a little wear mostly on a couple of the posts. Unlike most of the R13's you might be looking at, this one has just been completely disassembled, cleaned, bore oiled, lubed, hand-polished, all tenon corks replaced, all key corks and materials replaced, and had all new Valentino Master's Series pad installed—one of the quietest and longest lasting pads you can get. It plays very consistently across the entire instrument with that big, dark tone and open feel expected of a 60's Buffet. Cork grease and key oil are for local pickup only and will not be shipped, but it does include a new ProTec microfiber cloth, new SuperSlick chamois swab, cap, ligature, and vintage Selmer France hard rubber mouthpiece in a hard-to-find B facing. All in the period Buffet case with a zippered case cover with shoulder strap—originally black but faded to a dark grey on the front. A great-playing horn in amazing condition from one of the most sought-after periods of Buffet's production, and at more than $2,000 less than brand new!
