Vintage 1960 Buffet Crampon R13 Clarinet!

One of the least expensive vintage R13’s we are offering for sale!  This is a Buffet Crampon R13 in Bb.  S/n 644XX makes it 1960.  It is in excellent condition:  aged grenadilla body with just a little wear and no cracks or chips other than a crack in the bell which is repaired so nicely that you likely never would have noticed it if we hadn’t mentioned it.  Nickel silver keys which don’t polish up quite to the shine that nickel plate does, but also doesn’t wear off, and as you can see in the photos, still look great.  Just through the shop where it was disassembled, cleaned, bore oiled, lubed, hand-polished, had all new tenon corks installed, and all new Valentino Master’s Series synthetic pads installed—one of the quietest, longest-lasting pads you can find.  Plays nicely across the entire instrument with an open and even feel, and bit brighter and more responsive than some of our other R13’s, though of course this will change greatly with your mouthpiece rig.  Cork grease and key oil are for local pickup only and will not be shipped, but it does include the vintage one-up, three-down Buffet mouthpiece on a hard rubber Riffault blank in a C facing, a new ProTec microfiber cloth, and a new SuperSlick chamois swab.  I put this in a collectible Selmer Tray Pack case, but if you prefer something more modern we have dozens of cases available separately.  A great-playing horn with a big, jazzy feel at more than $2,500 less than new!
