Vintage 1975 Buffet Crampon R13 Bb Clarinet

Vintage Buffet Crampon R13 Bb clarinet for sale.  S/n 1561XX makes this one a revered 1975, right in the middle of Buffet’s Golden Era and right at their 150th Annversary.  It is in excellent condition, with a short crack in the lower tenon that was repaired so nicely you probably wouldn’t have known it was there, but no other chips, cracks, or repairs.  Wood is a nice, heavy billet of grenadilla.  Plating about 99.9%, and I’m almost positive this is silver rather than nickel (a $520 upgrade,) but it’s hard to be certain until they start to tarnish, and these have been very well polished.  Very new pads likely installed less than a year ago.  Just through our shop where it had some very minor adjustments and was brought into excellent playing condition.  This clarinet has a big, warm tone with excellent projection, and is very free blowing.  Includes a new Yamaha swab, Vandoren B45 mouthpiece, D. Bonade ligature, Buffet cap, and brand-new Reunion Blues RBX case with straps and zippered exterior pocket.  An exceptional instrument from an exceptional period at about $2,000 less than new, so snatch it up before everyone else’s tax refunds start coming in!
