Vintage Bach Stradivarius 180S37 Silver Trumpet

One of several professional trumpets we are offering for sale. This is a Bach Stradivarius 180S37 Bb trumpet in silver plate.  This is Bach’s all-around workhorse designed to do well in just about any musical setting:  symphonic band, marching band, solo work, etc. S/n 126XXX makes this roughly 1976--a great vintage horn.  This one is in very good condition:  silver plating about 99.5% with just a very tiny bit of wear up at the top of the first valve casing, and just small, scattered imperfections from prior dent removals during its life, and some scratches on the mouthpiece receiver.  As you can see in the photos, it’s a great-looking, shiny horn.  Valves are fast and smooth and quiet with excellent compression. All tuning slides are free including the third valve dump slide, which is so often stuck that many folks don’t realize it’s supposed to move.  Best of all, this horn has just been through the shop where it was disassembled, chem cleaned, detergent cleaned, lubed, hand-polished, and had all new tuning slide O-rings, piston felts, water key cork, stop rod bumper and stop rod screws installed.  Plays very nicely with no problems.  Valve oil and tuning slide grease are for local pickup only and will not be shipped, but it does include two vintage Bach Corp. Mouthpieces, a 7C in very good condition and a 5C with pliers marks on the stem, but cup and rim are good. Also includes a Leblanc Alessi Vacchiano mute with dents but playable and good corks, a microfiber cloth, a Selmer silver polishing cloth, and a cleaning rod.  All in the good Bach hard case with a worn but intact handle.  The most popular professional trumpet for decades, and at about $1,700 less than brand new!
