1969 Buffet Crampon R13 Bb Clarinet

One of several professional clarinets we are offering for sale. This is a Buffet Crampon R13 Bb clarinet in nickel. S/n 110XXX makes this a vintage 1969, right at the beginning of Buffet's Golden Era of manufacturing. It is in excellent condition:  plating about 95% with a little wear and spotting as seen in the photos, but still a bright, shiny instrument. Wood is an excellent billet of grenadilla with a tight, straight grain, no chips, cracks or repairs, and squared tenons with no wobble between joints. Just through the shop in August, 2026 where it was disassembled, cleaned, bore oiled, and repadded with Valentino Master's Series synthetic pads—oneof the longest lasting and most reliable pads available. Plays very well across the entire instrument with an open feel and a big, dark, almost Teutonic tone.  Cork grease and key oil are for local pickup only and will not be shipped, but it does include a vintage reed trimer, new SuperSlick chamois swab, new ProTec microfiber cloth and the original Buffet warranty card and info, and even the original invoice from the music store! All in the hard-to-find plush hard case. A great clarinet in great condition from one of the best periods ever, and still about $2,000 less than new!
