1974 Buffet Crampon R13 Bb Clarinet

One of several professional clarinets we are offering for sale. This is a Buffet Crampon R13 clarinet in Bb. S/n 151XXX makes it 1974—right in the sweet spot of Buffet's Golden Era. This one is in exceptional condition:  Nickel plating about 99.5% with little if any wear at all. Wood is an excellent billet of aged, heavy grenadilla with no chips, cracks or repairs. Tenons are square with no wobble between joints. Just through the shop in September, 2026 where it was disassembled, cleaned, bore oiled, hand-polished, lubed, and had all new white kid leather pads installed.  Plays delightfully from top to bottom with a soft touch, moderate resistance and that warm, dark tone you'd expect from a 70's Buffet in leather.  Cork grease and key oil are for local pickup only and will not be shipped, but it does include a new ProTec microfiber cloth and new SuperSlick chamois swab. All in the slim Buffet pochette case with a zippered case cover.  One of the nicest R13's you'll find from this period, especially in leather, and still more than $2,000 less than new!
