1979 Buffet Crampon R13 Clarinet W/ Valentino Master's Overhaul

One of several professional clarinets we are offering for sale. This is a vintage Buffet Crampon R13 Bb clarinet in silver plate. S/n 200XXX makes it 1979—right at the end of Buffet’s best times ever. This one is in exceptional condition:  wood body is a great billet of aged grenadilla with a tight, straight grain and no chips, cracks or repairs. Silver plated rather than nickel (a $720 upgrade!) and about 99.9% intact with little if any wear at all. Best of all, it is just through the shop in June 2026 where it was bore oiled, had all new tenon corks installed, and was repadded with Valentino Master’s Series synthetic pads—one of the quietest and most reliable pads available. A punchy, lively, responsive clarinet with little resistance and a big tone. Key oil and cork grease are for local pickup only and will not be shipped, but it does include a new ProTec microfiber cloth, new SuperSlick chamois swab, screwdriver, the slimline Buffet pochette case, and the zippered case cover with zippered exterior pocket and strap.  Sells new for $4,871 at M&A, so save more than $2,700, and snatch up one of the nicest you’ll find from one of Buffet’s most sought-after decades!
