1984 Buffet Crampon R13 Clarinet W/ New Valentino Master's Pads

One of several professional clarinets we are offering for sale. This is a Buffet Crampon R13 clarinet in Bb. S/n 265XXX makes it a vintage 1984, but it looks hardly used at all:  wood is a nice, heavy billet of aged grenadilla with a straight grain and no chips, cracks or repairs. Tenons are square with no wobble between joints. Silver plated rather than nickel (a $671 upgrade!) about 99.5% with a tiny bit of wear on just a couple of the posts if you really go looking for it. It is, quite simply, a beautiful instrument. Best of all, it is just through the shop in September of 2026 where it was bore oiled and had all new Valentino Master’s Series white synthetic pads installed—one of the longest lasting, most reliable pads available. Plays very nicely in all registers with excellent intonation, a light, soft touch and very little resistance. Cork grease and key oil are for local pickup only and will not be shipped, but it does include a new ProTec microfiber cloth, new SuperSlick chamois swab, and adjustment screwdriver.  All in the slim Buffet pochette case with zippered case cover. A delightful clarinet from a great period in marvelous condition with silver plate, and still more than $2,600 less than new!
