Bach Artisan AB190S Silver Trumpet

What’s even better than a Bach Stradivarius?  A Bach Artisan!  This is one of several professional trumpets we are offering for sale.  Bach Stradivarius Artisan Series model AB190S.  About $1,500 more than standard Strads, it’s got bunches of improvements to the bell, ferrules, and more.  This one is in very good condition:  silver plate good except for some wear mostly at the bottom of the valve casings as seen in the photos, which is almost completely covered by the included, brand-new ProTec six-point leather valve guard.  A few, scattered, small marks and imperfections left over from past dent removals, but no significant dents or repairs currently.  It is a great-looking horn as long as it’s got that leather guard in place, which should prevent additional wear as well.  Functionally it’s near perfect:   All tuning slides are free including the third-valve dump slide.  Valves are fast and smooth and quiet with very little wear.  Just through the shop where it was chem cleaned, detergent cleaned, lubed, polished and had all new tuning slide O-rings, water key cork, stop rod bumper, and piston felts installed.  Compression is excellent.  Extended F stop rod so you can play a whole step lower than the rest of the trumpets.  Valve oil and tuning slide grease are for local pickup only and will not be shipped, but it does include a new ProTec microfiber cloth, the new ProTec leather guard, and a brand-new Kaces lightweight case with backpack straps and external pockets. We may also have this case in different colors upon request. Note that we have lots of cases and mouthpieces for sale separately, so please let us know if you’d prefer this with no case or a different case.  Sells for $5,060 at M&A compared to $3,569 for a standard silver Strad.   So, save more than $3,000, and snatch up one of the only ones you’ll find on the used market!
