Bach Stradivarius 180S37 Silver Trumpet
One of several professional trumpets we are offering for sale. This is a Bach Stradivarius 180S37 trumpet in Bb. S/n 3400XX makes it a 1990's horn, and it looks as if it has hardly been played: silver playing nearly 100% except for the small, 1" x 1/2" worn spot on top of the bell near the third valve. Very few and very tiny dings and other imperfections, but no major dents or signs of significant repairs. This horn had such a nice, dark, even patina that we left it unpolished, but it would shine up to a bright silver with just a standard polishing cloth and very little work. Best of all, unlike most of the trumpets you may be looking at, this has just been through the shop where it was chem cleaned, detergent cleaned, lubed, and had all new tuning slide O-rings, piston felts, stop rod bumper, stop rod nuts, and water key cork installed. Valves are fast and smooth with very little wear and exceptional compression. All tuning slides are free including the third valve dump slide. Plays very nicely with from top to bottom. Valve oil and tuning slide grease are for local pickup only and will not be shipped, but it does include a Bach 7C mouthpiece, new ProTec microfiber cloth, cleaning rod, and original paperwork. All in the standard Bach hard case with normal cosmetic wear and both keys still available. A very nice, newly-serviced Strad--perfect for marching band, concert band, orchestra, or just about any other musical setting--and about $1,700 less than new!
