Bach Stradivarius 180S37 Silver Trumpet
One of the least expensive professional trumpets we are offering for sale. This is a Bach Stradivarius 180S37 Bb trumpet in silver—Bach’s all-around workhorse designed to do pretty much everything well. It is in very good condition. Cosmetically, the plating is about 95% with small bits of wear starting here and there, and scattered, small dings and scratches left over from past dent removal throughout, but no major dents remaining. As you can see in the photos, it shines up to a pretty good-looking horn. Unlike most of the used Strads you might be looking at, this one is just through the shop where it was chem cleaned, lubed, polished, and had all new valve felts, stop-rod bumper and nuts, tuning slide O-rings, and water key cork installed. It is completely ready to play: valves are smooth and quiet, compression is very good, and all tuning slides are free including the 3rd-valve dump slide. Note that this horn is oiled with SYNTHETIC valve oil (specifically, Hetman #3 Classic Piston oil,) and that you must use a similar synthetic oil or thoroughly clean the pistons and casings prior to switching to a petroleum-based product. Includes Bach 7C and Bach 5C mouthpieces. The original hard case with external cosmetic wear is available if you prefer, but we’ve put this in a brand-new Reunion Blues RBX case with backpack straps—rigid and lightweight, perfect for the bus and the band room. Currently selling for $3,413 at WWBW. A good-looking and great-playing instrument, perfect for marching band, concert band, select band, and solo work, and at more than $1,800 less than new!
