Bach Stradivarius 180S37 Silver Trumpet

One of several professional trumpets we are offering for sale.  This is a Bach Stradivarius 180S37 Bb trumpet in silver plate.  This is Bach’s all around workhorse designed to perform well in just about any musical setting:  marching band, concert band, orchestra and solo work.  S/n 319XXX makes it roughly 1988—a pre-strike horn that appears to have had little use at all:  silver plate about 99% with a tiny bit of wear on the third slide as seen in the photos, some light scratches and perhaps just a very few, very tiny other imperfections if you go looking for them.  It is a gorgeous horn as seen in the photos.  Valves appear to have had very little use and are fast and smooth and quiet with excellent compression.  All tuning slides are free including the third-valve dump slide, which is so often stuck that many people don’t even know it’s supposed to move.  And best of all—unlike most of the Strads you may be looking at—this one is just through the shop where it was disassembled, chem cleaned, detergent cleaned, lubed, polished, and had all new valve felts, tuning-slide O-rings, water key cork, and stop rod bumper installed.  Plays very well with excellent slotting and easily accessible high and low ends.  Valve oil and slide grease are for local pickup only and will not be shipped, but it does include a Bach 5C mouthpiece, new ProTec microfiber cloth, new ProTec leather finger protector, Humes & Berg Stone Lined straight and cup mutes, and marching gloves in very good condition.  All in an excellent Bach hard case with a moderate valve oil smell to the interior but in very good structural and cosmetic condition.  Currently selling new for a whopping $3,399, so save more than $1,500, get some extra accessories, and snatch up one of the nicest you’ll find on the used market!
