Bach Stradivarius C Trumpet C180SL229

One of several professional trumpets we are offering for sale.  This is a Bach Stradivarius C180SL229 silver trumpet in the key of C.  This is Bach’s large-bore C trumpet with a 229 bell and 25C mouth pipe giving you a great response and flexibility along with the brilliant, focused tone and projection of the 229 bell. S/n 660XXX is far too new for the published lists but will be pretty close to 2010.  It is in excellent condition:  plating about 97% with just light wear including a small spot on the left of the first valve and the front of the third, and then general, scattered small dings and other imperfections left over from past dent removals.  As you can see from the photos, it is a great-looking instrument.  Best of all, it has just been through the shop where it was disassembled, chem cleaned, detergent cleaned, lubed, polished, and had all new tuning slide O-rings, water key corks and piston felts installed.  All tuning slides are free, and the valves are fast and smooth with excellent compression.  Plays very nicely with good slotting and an easily-accessible upper register.  Comes in what is actually designed as a triple case with shoulder strap, but I've got just one divider in it. (Those are available online or easy to make if you want to throw your piccolo trumpet in along with your Bb and A trumpets.)   Sells for $4,199 at "discount" places like M&A, so snatch this one up before the back-to-school rush, get a great, lightweight triple case, and still save more than $1,800!
