Bach Stradivarius C180SL239 25A C-Trumpet! Key Of C!
We are pleased to offer for sale this Bach Stradivarius C180SL239 C trumpet (key of C) in silver. The 239 bell, large bore, and a special-order 25A leadpipe which has the same centered, focused response of the standard 25C but a tad less resistance gives a bigger, broader and darker sound if you have good breath control and technique. S/n 519XXX makes this 2001-2002, but it looks hardly used at all: plating about 99.9% with just a little bit of wear at the third tuning slide entrance as seen in the photos, but no significant dents, dings, repairs, red rot, or anything else other than the lightest imperfections from careful use. Valves look hardly played. I avoid terms like “mint” and “near perfect,” but you’d have to look pretty hard to find anything at all wrong with this horn.
Best of all, unlike most of the used trumpets you may see on line, this one has just been through the shop where it was disassembled, chem cleaned, detergent cleaned, lubed, polished and had all new tuning slide O-rings, water key cork and piston felts installed. All tuning slides free. Valves are fast, smooth, and quiet with exceptional compression. Comes in the deluxe Bach Stradivarius hard case which is also in excellent condition and even has both keys still present. And unlike any other C-trumpet you may be looking at, this one actually comes with a complete set of Bb slides so you can swap it out in a pinch!
On a side note, we have hundreds of mouthpieces for sale separately under eBay ID “ashanteemusicinc,” and are happy to provide free shipping on those if you let us know before we pack the trumpet. We also have other cases available, or no case at all, if you’d prefer a double or something else. And finally, if you don’t want the slides, we’d be happy to accept $250 less for this. (But you do want them!)
