Bach Stradivarius LR180S43 Reversed Leadpipe Trumpet!

One of several Bach Stradivarius trumpets we are offering for sale. This one is an LR180S43 Bb horn in silver. It has the reversed #25 lead pipe for decreased resistance and better control, the lightweight body which makes it lively and responsive, and the 43 bell for a warmer tone with a great depth of color compared to the standard 37 model. (And if you prefer the model with the darker-sounding gold brass bell, please see our other listings!) It’s a great combination for a versatile horn which really comes alive in a variety of venues. S/n 609XXX makes it a 2003, but it looks far newer:  silver plating about 95% with with a couple tiny spots of wear mostly on the valve casing, but very small and hidden in spots where you have to go looking for it to really notice. The same with a few small, scattered marks and imperfections from past dent removals:  not noticeable unless you look pretty close. Unlike most of the Strads you may be looking at, this one is just through the shop where it was disassembled, chem cleaned, detergent cleaned, lubed, and had new tuning slide O-rings, stop rod bumper, piston felts and water key cork installed. All tuning slides are free including the third-valve dump slide. Valves are fast and smooth and show very little use at all. Compression is excellent. Slide grease and valve oil are for local pickup only and will not be shipped, but it does include a Bach 5C mouthpiece, new ProTec microfiber cloth, new ProTec leather finger protector, and a gold trim kit with gold-plated top caps, stems, button, and heavy bottom caps for more focus and projection. (That’s about a $500 upgrade!)  Includes the zippered Bach hard case with just minor wear and structurally sound.  An exceptional horn that does just about everything well. Sells new for $4,039 at the “discount” M&A, so save more than $2,000, get a $500 gold trim kit, and snatch this one up before the Christmas rush!
