Buffet Crampon 1183 Prestige Bass Clarinet--Copeland Serviced!

One of several professional clarinets we are offering for sale.  This is a Buffet Crampon Prestige bass clarinet model  1183, serial number 340XX.  It is in exceptional condition:  wood has a small area above the serial number where some engraving by the prior owner was filled in, but no chips, cracks, or repairs, a tiny bit of plating wear on the neck and barrel, and a very small, shallow dent in the bell.  Silver plated keys about 99.9% with little if any wear at all.  Just sent to the great Jonathan Copeland for an overhaul, but he said the pads were in such good condition that it didn’t make sense to do that.  He did do another $500 worth of work to it, including cleaning the pads and replacing a couple, polishing the keys and bell, lubricating, adjusting, and everything else you’d expect from a mini-overhaul.  He says it’s in perfect playing condition, and is willing to do any final adjustments if you think it needs anything at all.  Shown here in two different cases, only one of which will be included:  a brand-new ProTec case with shoulder strap and external, zippered pocket--a little tight on the bell, but functional--or a used Buffet case which will accommodate a low C extension.  Also includes a brand-new Buffet peg assembly, and a new ProTec harness.   Sells new for $13,057,08 at WWBW but has a waiting list, and is nearly impossible to find on the used market.  So . . . save more than $5,000, and get one of the nicest bass clarinets made put into the nicest condition possible by one of the best clarinet specialists in the nation!
