Buffet Crampon R13 Bb Clarinet W/ Tru-Seal Ebony Plus Pads
One of several professional clarinets we are offering for sale. This is a Buffet Crampon R13 Bb clarinet. S/n 292XXX makes it a vintage 1987 instrument—just old enough to have the nice, well-aged grenadilla but not so old that it’s played out. It is actually in exceptional condition: no cracks or chips, tenons are nice and square, and the plating is about 99.5% with just the tiniest bit of wear if you look super closely for it. Note that this is silver plated rather than nickel—a $671 upgrade and harder to find on the used market. Just through the shop where it was bore oiled and had all new Tru-Seal Ebony Plus Series pads installed—a long-lasting, quiet, synthetic pad made right here in Florida! (Plus one Valentino Master’s series for the smallest pad—I didn’t have a Tru-Seal that size.) Plays very well from top to bottom with a moderately-warm sound, excellent projection and a soft, even feel to the keywork. Key oil and cork grease are for local pickup only and won’t be shipped, but it does include a new ProTec microfiber cloth and a new SuperSlick chamois swab. All in the ProTec ProPac case which is itself in excellent condition. Sells new for a whopping $4,671 at M&A (and that’s on sale!) So . . . snatch up one of the nicest you’ll find in silver plate, and save more than $2,500!
