Buffet Crampon R13 Silver Bb Clarinet

One of several Buffet Crampon clarinets we are offering for sale.  This one is an R13 in Bb, s/n 2487XX, roughly 1983.  It is in excellent condition, with a very short crack in the lower tenon which is repaired so nicely you’d probably never have known it was there, but no other chips, cracks, or repairs.  Wood is a great, heavy billet of vintage grenadilla, tenons are nice and square with no wobbles between joints.  Silver (not nickel) plate about 99.9% with little if any wear at all.  Just through the shop where it was cleaned, bore oiled, and had all new pads installed—Ferree’s premium cork on the upper, and Ferree’s B17 de’Jur double-bladder, pressed-felt on the lower.  Plays evenly in all registers with a large, warm tone and crisp feel to the keywork.  Includes a Vandoren B40 Lyre mouthpiece, what looks like a BG Revelation ligature, and cap.  Comes in the slim pouchette case with case cover.  An excellent horn that sells for $3,973 plus another $520 for the silver, so save more than $2,700 and put the money toward your A clarinet!
