Buffet Crampon RC Bb Clarinet In Silver Plate

One of several professional clarinets we are offering for sale. This is a Buffet Crampon RC Bb clarinet in silver plate. Designed by Robert Carree in 1974 with slight changes to the bore and undercutting, the RC is an upgrade to the R13 with a rounder, warmer, sweeter tone and very articulate response with excellent intonation. MSRP $6,560 vs. $4,871 for a basic silver R13. S/n 204XXX makes this a nice vintage 1980 clarinet, and it looks hardly played at all:  wooden body is a well-aged billet of grenadilla with a tight, straight grain and no chips, cracks or repairs. Tenons are nice and square with no wobble between joints. Plating about 99.5% with perhaps the tiniest bit of wear on a couple of the posts. Obviously overhauled not long ago, with all pads and tenon corks in excellent condition and sealing perfectly. Just through our shop where it needed very little other than bore oiling and a tiny bit of regulation to bring it into marvelous playing condition from top to bottom. Key oil and cork grease are for local pickup only, but it does include the new ProTec microfiber cloth and new SuperSlick chamois swab. All in the slim Buffet pochette case with zippered case cover and two zippered pockets. Usually sells for about $5,800 or more new and is hard to find on the used market in good condition.
