Conn 88H Artist Symphony Trigger Trombone 1978

One of several professional trombones we are offering for sale. This is a Conn 88H Artist Symphony large-bore trigger trombone with F-attachment.  The serial number is either CL8700XX or GL870XXX. “CL” would be a bit nonsensical unless this is a Christian Lindberg slide on a late 70’s/early 80’s bell. “GL” makes perfect sense based on the engraving, trigger, etc. and would make it a 1978 early Abilene horn. It is in very good condition.  Lacquer is about 90% with some wear mostly around the hand grips as seen in the photos, and mostly covered by the included, brand-new, six-piece leather grip protector.  Some signs of dents being removed mostly along the main tuning slide and a few other small imperfections, but no current, significant dents or problems. It’s a great-looking horn as you can see in the photos. Just through the shop wear it was lubed, adjusted, had the water key cork and slide bumper replaced, and had the main slide realigned and serviced to the point where it is silky smooth.  Slide springs in place.  Rotary valve oil, tuning slide grease and Slide-O-Matic are for local pickup only, but it does include the aforementioned leather grip protector and a large-shank Bach 6.5AL mouthpiece in excellent condition. All in an excellent ProTec case with a small stain on the outside but structurally excellent and with shoulder strap included.
