Conn 88H Trigger Trombone--Just Serviced!
One of several intermediate and professional trombones we are offering for sale. This is a Conn 88H large-bore tenor trigger trombone with F-attachment. S/n 963XXX makes this a pretty recent horn somewhere around the late 2000’s, and it is in excellent condition: lacquer around 95% with a little wear but by far the best-looking trombone we’ve had in ages. A few very small dings, but no significant dents or other cosmetic defects. As you can see in the photos, it’s a great-looking horn. This site greatly limits the number of photos, but more are visible on other sites (though least expensive here!) All tuning slides are free, trigger is fast and properly aligned, slide is smooth and glassy with near-perfect stockings. Just through the shop where it was lubed, polished, had the water key cork replaced, and had the rotary valve disassembled, cleaned, lubed, and reinstalled. One of two set screws is missing on the trigger spatula, but it is held firmly by the other and you can pop one in quick the next time you’re at your local music store. Plays delightfully with no concerns. Tuning slide grease, Slide-O-Matic slide lube and Bach rotary valve oil are for local pickup and will not be shipped, but it does include the Sabine MT900 MetroTune tuner/metronome, slide spray bottle, mouthpiece brush, polishing cloth, and a brand-new, six-piece leather grip protector to keep the lacquer looking as good as it does. No mouthpiece included as we have hundreds for sale separately and are happy to offer free shipping if sent with the trombone. Comes in the original case with some sticker residue on the bell end and some loose stitching on the end handle, but in excellent structural condition. The most popular large-bore tenor for decades—perfect for your advancing student! Sells new for $3,699 at M&A, so save about $2,000, and snatch up one of the newest and nicest you’ll find!
