Crazy Cheap Buffet Crampon R13 Clarinet

Looking for a great-playing R13 without mortgaging your home? This is an R13 Bb in perfect playing condition, but with lots of cosmetic issues. The upper has a very short surface crack that was repaired long ago and should never be an issue, but is still visible on close inspection. The keys have lots of plating wear, and may look a little better after hitting them with a buffing wheel, but in reality will never be great looking. On the happy side, this has just been completely repadded in July 2025 with Valentino Master's Series synthetic pads—one of the longest-lasting, most reliable pads available and the same pads we use on most of our $2,000 R13's. It was also bore oiled, adjusted and had the center tenon cork replaced, and now plays marvelously across the entire instrument with an open feel and big, dark tone. We've also included a bunch of extras: a great Rudall Carte hard rubber mouthpiece, ligature, cap, bore swab, new ProTec microfiber cloth, ReedMate humidified reed case with four Vandoren #3 reeds, and (for local pickup only—won't ship these) cork grease and a new bottle of key oil. All in a very nice hard case which is itself in excellent condition. We try to keep professional instruments available in all price ranges, and this is the perfect clarinet for that student who needs a great-playing, just-serviced pro clarinet that would otherwise be unaffordable. So, save more more than $3,000 off the cost of new, get lots of extras, and snatch this one up before the back-to-school rush!
