Crazy Cheap Conn 88H F-Attachment Trigger Trombone!

One of several professional trombones we are offering for sale.  This is a Conn 88H USA large-bore trigger trombone with F-attachment.  S/n 43-415XXX makes this a 1993Lacquer is about 85% with general wear, dings, and scratches as seen in the photos, some of which is left over from past dent removals.  No current significant dents.  Selling crazy cheap due to a hairline crack on the border of one knuckle valve and the rotary valve casing which has been patched with low-temp, load-bearing silver solder. This is a long-term but temporary repair, and should last ages unless abused.  Permanent options may include knuckle replacement, a Badger State knuckle repair kit, swapping in a used valve, (all those around $200-$300,) or just upgrading to an amazing axial flow valve at some time.  Valve was just cleaned, lubed, aligned and restrung, and the compression is shockingly good compared to most vintage 88H’s.  Slide stockings have a very small spot of wear as seen in the photos, but the slide was just cleaned and aligned and is silky smooth.  Slide springs in place, as are a new water key cork and end bumper.  Comes with a large-shank (probably Remington shank) All-Star E-Bass mouthpiece.  Note that the vintage leather bag shown in the background of some of the closeups is NOT included with the horn, but will be available separately as soon as we figure out who made it, and we are happy to combine shipping.  A great starter instrument for a student who needs a pro trigger without a $1,500 price tag!
