Fox 400 Intermediate Wood Oboe W/ 3rd Octave Key!

One of several intermediate and professional oboes we are offering for sale. This is a Fox Model 400 all-wood, full conservatory oboe. S/n 244XX makes this a relatively new 2006 model, and it appears hardly played at all.  Wood has no chips, cracks, repairs or bore damage, and the silver plate is about 99.9% with little if any wear at all. Includes a bunch of keys not found on lesser or earlier oboes, including the F-resonance key, left F key, split D/D#, banana key, extra trills, articulated C, low Bb and Bb vent, and even the third octave key!  Cork pads are in excellent condition and it needed very little in our shop other than the felt pads replaced, bore oiling, and very minor regulation, and perhaps a new tenon cork or two. (Sorry—We've done five oboes this week and I don’t remember.)  Plays very nicely from top to bottom with just the lightest key pressure and little resistance. Key oil and cork grease are for local pickup only and won’t be shipped, but it does include a new silk swab and new ProTec microfiber cloth.  All in the ProTec ProPac case which is in excellent condition.    MSRP $9,875, and sells new for $7,665 at the “online discount place that we do not name.”  So snatch this one up in exc excellent, ready-to-play condition just in time for a new school year, and still save more than $3,500!
