Inexpensive Bach Stradivarius 180S37 Silver Trumpet

One of the least expensive professional trumpets we are offering for sale. This is a Bach Stradivarius 180S37 silver trumpet in Bb.  Cosmetically, there is lots of worn silver as seen in the photos, the bulk of which is covered by the included, brand-new ProTec leather valve guard.  Small dings and marks from past dent removal, but no significant dents or dings.  With the valve guard in place, it’s actually a pretty snazzy horn.  Functionally it is in excellent condition:  valves are fast and smooth and quiet with good compression, all tuning slide free including the third-valve dump slide.  This one also has had a lyre receiver added to it, so you don’t have to use those evil clamping lyres that chew up the finish.  And unlike most of the trumpets you might be looking at, this one is just through the shop where it was chem cleaned, detergent cleaned, lubed, and had all new tuning slide O-rings, water key cork, piston felts and stop rod bumper installed.  Note that this horn is oiled with SYNTHETIC (Hetman #3) oil, and you must use another synthetic oil or thoroughly clean the pistons and casing prior to switching to a petroleum-based product.  Tuning slide grease is for local pickup only and will not be shipped, but it does include a Bach 7C and a worn but useable Bach 10-1/2C mouthpiece, new ProTec microfiber cloth, new ProTec slim profile straight mute, lyre, and of course the leather valve guard.  Comes in a good hard case with a worn but structurally sound handle.  Currently selling for a whopping $3,399 at M&A, so save more than $1,700, and snatch up the perfect horn for a new marching band season!
