Linton 5K Bassoon W/ Bocal--Completely Refurbished and Ready To Play!

Linton 5K bassoon for sale.  Range to high D, four rollers—a bit more advanced than the Linton 2K and other beginner bassoons you may be looking at, and far better condition:  Just through the shop where it was disassembled, cleaned, polished, and had all new key corks and white kid leather pads installed.  No chips or cracks.  Very shallow dent at the U-tube which could be taken out, but it does not seem to affect the tuning or intonation.  Tenon corks are good; and we chose to re-wrap one in traditional thread as it lends strength to the joint and is easier to adjust than cork.  Linton #2 bocal included, which has a new cork and zero leaks.  As I am a pitiful bassoonist, I actually had this double-checked by another local shop, where they did a couple minor adjustments and pronounced it as “plays great.”  Note that double reeds seem not to enjoy FedEx trucks and airplanes, and sometimes need minor adjustments on arrival.  Hard case included with some wear and a former school name on the exterior.  An completely-overhauled, American-made bassoon which has been a staple of school orchestras for decades, and the perfect way to get started while you save up for your advanced horn.
