Linton 5K Bassoon W/High D & Tons Of Extras!

Linton 5K bassoon for sale. Optional high D key, four rollers—a bit more advanced than the Linton 2K and other beginner bassoons you may be looking at, and even than some 5K’s which have only the high C.  It even has the fancy engraving on the bell usually found only on the Vivatones.  It’s in exceptional condition:  No chips or cracks, U-tube is in good condition and moves freely, nickel plating about 98% with just a tiny bit of wear.  Just through the shop in March 2025 where it was disassembled, cleaned, lubed polished, tenons re-wrapped, key materials replaced as needed, all new white kid leather pads installed.  Cork grease and key oil are for local pickup only and will not be shipped, but it does include a #1 bocal, new seat strap, new ProTec microfiber cloth, new silk body swab and bocal swab, and one reed.  All in an excellent hard case with the prior owner’s info painted over, and even includes a brand new Kaces KUXE series case cover, adding weather resistance, protection, should strap, extra storage and lots of swag!  Just back from another shop for a second look as I am a pitiful bassoonist, and should play perfectly on pickup, though double reeds seem not to enjoy FedEx trucks and airplanes, and sometimes need minor adjustments if you’re having it shipped. A completely-overhauled, American-made bassoon with the high D key which has been a staple of school orchestras for decades, and the perfect way to get started while you save up for your advanced horn!
