Oscar Adler Sonora 1357/4 Maple Bassoon! High D, Just Serviced!

One of several intermediate and professional bassoons we are offering for sale. This is an amazing Sonora 1357/4 by Oscar Adler.  S/n 113XX.  It is in excellent condition:  nickel plating about 98% with just a tiny bit of wear, flamed maple body with no cracks and just a very little bit of wear.  It is a gorgeous instrument as you can see in the photos.  Just through the shop where it was disassembled, cleaned polished, had any necessary pads and key materials replaced, tenons re-wrapped, reassembled and adjusted.  Pads are white stitched leather, all in good condition with just a couple replaced mostly for cosmetics. Will play delightfully right out of the case on pickup, may need a minor touch-up on arrival if you’re having it shipped, depending on how many potholes the driver hits. Includes some advanced keywork: high D key, extra low C touch, five rollers, left hand thumb whisper key lock, three trill keys, extra Bb, F#, and G# keys.  No bocal with this one as folks at this level usually have their favorite, but we do have some available separately. Cork grease and key oil are for local pickup only and will not be shipped, but it does include a nice reed case with six very good reeds, crutch, new ProTec microfiber cloth, new SuperSlick two-piece body and bocal swab set, and a new seat strap.  Comes in a very nice case in excellent condition.  A well-respected intermediate horn, known for a warm tone with accurate intonation and tuning.  The perfect horn for an advanced musician, in far better condition than usually found, and at about $4,000 less than new!
