Selmer 101 Intermediate Wood Oboe--Overhauled!

One of several oboes we are offering for sale. This is a Selmer Model 101 intermediate wood oboe. It is a full conservatory instrument with many keys not found on beginner oboes: low Bb, F-resonance, articulated C#, Split D/D# trill, other extra trills, banana key, and the all-important left F key. It is in excellent condition:  all wood body with a very small repaired chip on the inside edge of the bell which is cosmetic in nature and almost invisible as seen in the photos. No cracks, pins or other repairs. Silver plate about 95% with a little wear on a couple keys and posts, but still shines up very nicely also as seen in the photos. Best of all, it is just through the shop in March 2026 where it was disassembled, cleaned, bore oiled, lubed, hand polished, and had all new pads installed. Plays very nicely across the entire instrument with a light touch and little resistance. Note that oboes hate planes and delivery trucks, so if you're having this shipped it may need very minor adjustments on arrival. Cork grease, key oil and bore oil are for local pickup only and will not be shipped, but it does include a new ProTec microfiber cloth, new silk bore swab, and the original hardshell case which is also in excellent condition. A great instrument for your advancing student, and far better than the one you're renting!
