Selmer Centered Tone A Clarinet--Overhauled, Extra Keys!

Sold for $1799 in November 2023.  One of two vintage Selmer Centered Tone A clarinets we are offering for sale! This is an upgraded version with lots of optional keys: forked Eb, auxilliary left Eb/Ab lever, articulated G#/C#, and extra trill on the lower.  It is practically a full-Boehm instrument other than the low Eb.  S/n R1808, roughly 1954. Exceptional condition: Silver plate about 99% with little if any wear at all. Wood is in very good condition with two hairline cracks on the bell that were repaired very nicely and should never be an issue.  Bore-oiled, all new pads and tenon corks installed.  It plays very well across all registers, with a big, full tone with good projection, and excellent intonation. A great jazz clarinet, and a Benny Goodman favorite. This clarinet has a zillion adjustment screws and more key interactions than most other clarinets, so I wouldn’t be surprised if requires minor tweaking after shipping. Comes in a vintage, pouchette-style double case in good condition.  Hard to find in A, hard to find in this condition, hard to find with all the extra keywork, and near impossible to find with all three. (But of course, we have two!)  A great, vintage Selmer that will be perfect to pair with your Bb Selmer CT, or even with the vintage Selmer 55 Bb we have listed separately!
