Silver Buffet Crampon R13 Bb Clarinet
One of several professional clarinets we are offering for sale. This is a Buffet Crampon R13 Bb clarinet in silver. S/n 1816XX puts it at 1977—right toward the end of Buffet’s Golden Era. It is in excellent condition: wood is a nice, tight-grained billet of aged grenadilla with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Tenons are square with no wobble between joints. Silver (not nickel) plated keys, about 99.9% with practically no wear at all, if any. Just overhauled, with a lower in Ferree’s B17 de’Jur double-bladder, pressed-felt and Ferree’s premium cork, and the upper also in cork except for the two ring key pads. All new tenon corks. A focused, warmer tone with very nice intonation across the entire horn. Includes mouthpiece, cap, and ligature. Cork grease and key oil are for local pickup only and will not be shipped. Comes in the Buffet pouchette case with case cover which has a little loose stitching on one part of the zipper. Silver is a $430 upgrade over nickel, and these sell new for $4,493.26. So . . . snatch up a gorgeous silver horn from one of the most sought-after periods in Buffet history, and still save about $2,500!
