Vintage 1953 Martin Committee Silver Trumpet W/ Gold Wash Bell

The most stunning trumpet we are offering for sale!  This is a vintage Martin Committee Bb silver trumpet.  0.453 medium bore.  S/n 1842XX makes this a 1953—an Elkhart horn right at the sweet spot and the most sought-after period for Committees.  This one is in danged-near perfect condition:  silver plate about 99.9% with little if any wear at all. Stunning gold wash bell.  No dents, dings, or signs of repair that I can find.  If there’s anything wrong cosmetically, it’s too small for me to see.  Per the former owner, it was ultrasonically cleaned a few months ago and had new water key corks installed.  Valves are fast and smooth and quiet with very good compression—a good solid “pop” on the tuning slides.  All tuning slides are free.  Note that this is oiled with synthetic valve oil, and you should do the same or thoroughly clean the pistons and casings prior to switching to a petroleum-based oil.  Valve oil is for local pickup only and will not be shipped.  Comes in the original case with just minor wear.  An absolute time capsule, and by far the nicest one currently on the market!
