Vintage 1968 Buffet Crampon R13 Clarinet

Vintage 1968 Buffet Crampon R13 Clarinet

One of several professional clarinets we are offering for sale. This is a Buffet Crampon R13 in Bb. S/n 102XXX makes it a vintage 1968 instrument--right at the beginning of Buffet's Golden Era. It is in excellent condition:  wooden body has no chips, cracks, or repairs, and tenons are still square with no wobble between joints. No plating wear noticeable--in fact I'm thinking these are solid nickel silver keys rather than nickel plate. Was overhauled not too long ago by Sayer Woodwinds in Chicago with what look like Valentino Master's Series synthetic pads, and all are still in excellent condition and sealing well. Just through our shop prior to this listing where it was bore oiled, had all new tenon corks installed, and was brought up into excellent regulation and playing condition. One of the more open, darker R13's we have for sale among dozens. Note that this is listed at a discounted price without a barrel in order to give you the opportunity to pick from the dozens we have listed separately--a near-perfect match such as barrel #43, or a specialty barrel such as Chadash, Moennig, Backun or another barrel of your choice.  We're happy to offer free shipping on the barrel if sent with the clarinet. (For that matter, we have hundreds of mouthpieces available separately with free shipping.) Cork grease, bore oil and key oil are for local pickup only and will not be shipped, but it does include a new ProTec microfiber cloth and new SuperSlick chamois swab. All in a slimline pochette case which is also in very good condition. A great clarinet from one of the most sought-after periods in Buffet history, and about $2,500 less than new!
