Vintage 1968 Buffet Crampon R13 Clarinet

One of several professional clarinets we are offering for sale. This is a Buffet Crampon R13 in Bb. S/n 100XXX makes it 1968, right at the beginning of Buffet's Golden Era of R13's. It is in excellent condition:  wood body is an excellent billet of grenadilla with nice, tight grain and no chips, cracks or repairs. Plating about 99.9% with little if any wear at all. Just through the shop in March 2026 where it was disassembled, cleaned, bore oiled, hand polished, lubed, had new tenon corks installed, and was repadded with Valentino Master's Series white synthetic pads--one of the most reliable, longest lasting pads available. Plays very nicely with an open feel, a moderately dark tone with a lot of punch and projection, and soft, even feel to the keys. Cork grease and key oil are for local pickup only and will not be shipped, but it does include an unmarked mouthpiece, cap and ligature, new ProTec microfiber cloth, and new SuperSlick chamois swab. All in a very nice ProTec Max case. A great clarinet in great condition from a great period in Buffet history, and about $2,000 less than new!
