Vintage 1969 Conn 88H Trombone In Silver Plate!

One of several Conn 88H’s we have for sale, and the only one we’ve ever offered in silver!  This is a vintage 1969 horn with M303XX on the slide section and 88H and 763 on the bell section.  It is in surprisingly good condition:  silver plate about 95% with small spots and wear here and there, and a bit more loss on the slide section near all the hand contact points as seen in the photos. I of course don’t know the entire history of the horn, but the plating looks to me to be original, and I’ve seen at least one other 60’s 88H in silver.  Just through the shop where it had some very small dents removed, mostly along the top of the bell bow and another small one in the main tuning slide—both of which are mostly invisible now.  No signs of bell damage or significant dent removal.  There are some very small dents on the inside of the slide end which I told them not to mess with.  This site limits photos, but more are available on eBay and Reverb, though you'll pay more on those sites. Ultrasonic cleaned, hand polished, slide aligned and made glassy smooth.  Spring barrel present. Slide lock works. Tuning slides free, trigger fine with no problems.  I took photos before replacing the water key cork and slide bumper, but those will be new as well.  Comes in what appears to be the appropriate case for the period, in good structural condition but with normal wear on the outside.  One of the earliest and nicest 88H’s you’ll find, and probably the only one in silver!
