Vintage 1970 Buffet Crampon R13 Clarinet W/ Recent Overhaul!

One of several intermediate and professional clarinets we are offering for sale. This is a Buffet Crampon R13 Bb clarinet. S/n 112XXX makes this a vintage 1970, right in the sweet spot of Buffet’s Golden Era. It is in excellent condition:  wood body is a great billet of aged grenadilla with a tight, straight grain and no chips, cracks or repairs. Tenons are square with no wobble between joints. Nickel plating about 99% with just a tiny bit of wear as seen in the photos. Has very obviously had a very recent overhaul in a combination of premium cork and high-quality leather or GoreTex pads, and these are all still in excellent condition and sealing with no problems at all. Just through our shop in October, 2026 where we had to do very little to it other than bore oiling and very minor adjustments. Plays very well with a light touch and a big, dark, full tone. Key oil and cork grease are for local pickup only and will not be shipped, but it does include the vintage, hard rubber Selmer France mouthpiece in an HS* facing, cap, ligature, Vandoren reed, reed protector, new ProTec microfiber cloth, and new SuperSlick chamois swab. All in the original case with a replacement handle. Sells new at the “discount” M&A for a whopping $4,200, so snatch up this one from one of the most sought after periods ever, and still save about $2,500!
