Vintage 1970's Bach Stradivarius 180S37 Silver Trumpet
One of several professional trumpets we are offering for sale. This is a Bach Stradivarius 180S37 Bb trumpet in silver. S/n 131XXX makes this roughly 1977—a great, vintage horn from a great period but which looks hardly used: silver plate is about 99.5% intact with a small spot of wear high on the first valve casing where it’s pretty hard to see, and just very few and very tiny imperfections from past dent removal sometime in its life. It is truly a great-looking horn as you can see in the photos. Best of all, unlike most of the trumpets you might be looking at, this one is just through the shop where it was chem cleaned, detergent cleaned, lubed, polished, and had all new tuning slide O-rings, stop rod bumper and nuts, water key cork and piston felts installed. Valves look hardly played and are fast and smooth with no problems and excellent compression. All tuning slides are free including the third-valve dump slide which is stuck on most used Strads. Blue Juice valve oil, silver polish and tuning slide grease are for local pickup only and will not be shipped, but it does include a Humes And Berg Stone Lined straight mute and cup mute, new ProTec leather full valve guard (the big one that covers the bell and third slide as well), and a Bach Corp. 7C mouthpiece. All in the original hard case which is in very good condition, with just the edges of the leather handle peeling up. A great horn from a great period, fully serviced and in unusually good condition, and just in time for a new school year!
