Vintage 1973 Buffet Crampon R13 Bb Clarinet W/ Recent Overhaul

One of several professional clarinets we are offering for sale. This is a Buffet Crampon R13 clarinet in Bb.  S/n 140XXX makes it a vintage 1973, right in the sweet spot of Buffet’s Golden Era.  It is in excellent condition:  wood is a nice, tight grain of aged grenadilla with no chips, cracks, or repairs.  Tenons are good with no wobble between joints.  Nickel plating about 99% with just a very tiny bit of wear as seen in the photos.  Has obviously been overhauled in the last year or so;  long-lasting cork and composite (likely Valentino) pads are all in excellent condition and sealing well, tenon corks are tight and intact.  Just through our shop where it needed very little other than bore oiling and some tiny adjustments to get it up into exceptional playing condition.  This is a big, dark clarinet with lots of core and excellent projection.  Key oil is for local pickup only and will not be shipped, but it does include a Yamaha 4C mouthpiece, BG Revelation inverted ligature, cap, two pad savers, new ProTec microfiber cloth, and new SuperSlick chamois swab.  All in the original hard case with a replacement handle, and all in a brand-new Kaces padded cover giving you lots of extra protection, weather resistance, shoulder strap, zippered storage, and swag—itself a $79.95 value!  Currently on sale at M&A for $3,925, so save more than $2,000, and snatch up this one from one of the most sought-after eras ever!
