Vintage 1974 Bach Stradivarius 18037 Brass/Nickel Trumpet

One of several professional trumpets we are offering for sale. This is a Bach Stradivarius 18037 trumpet in Bb. This one is a combination of nickel plate and raw brass, meaning you'll have to polish it more often to keep it shiny, but it also has no lacquer which will wear off and look spotty and gross. S/n 89XXX makes this a desirable 1974 vintage horn. It is in very good condition: scattered signs of past dent work mostly along the bell, but no significant dents or dings currently. Valves are fast and smooth with good compression using Hetman Classic oil. (Note that this is a synthetic oil and you should use the same or thoroughly clean the pistons and casings prior to switching to a petroleum-based product.) All tuning slides free including the third-valve dump slide. And unlike most of the trumpets you may be looking at, this one is also just through the shop where it was chem cleaned, detergent cleaned, lubed, polished, and had all new piston felts, water key cork, tuning slide O-rings and stop rod bumper and nuts installed. Tuning slide grease is for local pickup only and will not be shipped, but it does include a Bach 7C mouthpiece, cleaning snake and new ProTec microfiber cloth. All in the original case with a replacement handle and also in exceptional condition. A great vintage Strad in great condition for those who prefer the look and sound of brass rather than silver!
