Vintage Bach Stradivarius D180M236 Trumpet! Hard To Find!

One of several professional trumpets we are offering for sale. This is a vintage Bach Stradivarius D180M236 trumpet in D. S/n 37XXX makes this roughly 1967—one of the earliest "early Elkhart" horns you'll ever see and does have the sought-after Corporation bell. Bore and leadpipe are unmarked, but this appears all original and would be a medium bore with a #7 leadpipe to balance out the very bright 236 bell. A moderately bright, super focused tone with lots of projection and just the right amount of resistance. This one is in excellent condition:  lacquer about 95% with just a very little wear as seen in the photos. No red rot, a couple very small marks and imperfections left over from minor dent removal but all of the sort that you have to go looking for. As you can see in the photos, it is a great-looking horn. Best of all, it is just through the shop in August of 2026 where it was disassembled, chem cleaned, detergent cleaned, lubed, and had all new tuning slide O-rings, piston felts, water key cork, and stop rod, bumper and nuts installed. Valves are smooth and quiet with excellent compression—actually measuring less than 0.5 on the magnehelic—practically unheard of for a horn of this vintage. All tuning slides are free. Mouthpieces are a personal preference and we have hundreds for sale separately and are happy to combine shipping. Any of the 10-1/2D's would be a very good choice. Comes in what is likely the original case which is structurally sound. The nicest D trumpet you'll find available online—hardly used, fully serviced and absolutely gorgeous!
