Vintage Bach Stradivarius LT180S43 Silver Trumpet

One of several professional trumpets we are offering for sale.  This is a Bach Stradivarius LT180S43 silver trumpet in Bb--an upgrade from the standard 180S37, with a #43 bell and a lightweight body, making this a much more lively, centered, and brilliant horn compared to the standard 37.   S/n 150XXX puts it at roughly 1978, and this one has the sought-after Corporation bell.  It is in shockingly good condition:  silver plating about 99.5% with little if any wear at all, and just a few, small, scattered imperfections left over from minor dent removal.  As you can see from the photos, it is a shiny, gorgeous trumpet.  Unlike most of the horns you may be looking at, this one has just been through the shop where it was chem cleaned, detergent cleaned, lubed, polished, and had all new tuning slide O-rings, piston felts, water key cork, and stop rod bumper and nuts installed.  Valves show very little use and are fast and smooth with no problems and excellent compression.  All tuning slides are free including the third-valve dump slide which is usually stuck on vintage horns. Comes in a near-perfect vintage Bach hard case with a zippered case cover—missing one zipper pull but the other works perfectly and zips all the way around the case.  A great horn for marching band, jazz and solo work, hard to find in any condition from this period, and absolutely the nicest you’ll see available!
