Vintage Buffet Crampon PreR13A Clarinet--Serviced And Ready!

One of several professional A clarinets we are offering for sale. This is a vintage Buffet Crampon clarinet in the key of A, commonly referred to as a Pre-R13A.  It is in very good condition: bell has a repaired hairline crack as seen in the photos, but the remainder of the clarinet surprisingly has no crack, pins or other repairs.  Tenons are still nice and square with no wobble between joints.  Keys are nickel silver rather than silver plate and polish up quite nicely.  Has obviously had a recent overhaul:  pads and tenon corks are in excellent condition.  Just through our shop prior to this listing where it was bore oiled, and had a very few adjustments to bring it up into excellent playing condition.  Plays very nicely from top to bottom, a bit more open and less resistant than modern R13’s, with a big, dark tone.  Bore oil, key oil and cork grease are for local pickup only and will not be shipped, but it does include the four-space ReedGard with two reeds, a new ProTec microfiber clothe, and what is likely the original double pochette case with external wear but structurally in excellent condition.  All in a brand-new Kaces padded case cover giving you extra weather resistance, protection, zippered storage and shoulder strap—the absolute nicest double case cover I’ve found.  A great instrument for someone needing a pro A clarinet without the $2,800 price of a similar R13A, and in excellent, ready-to-play condition!
