Vintage Courtois Flugelhorn

We are very pleased to offer for sale this amazing Courtois Paris Bb flugelhorn.  It is a pro horn with trigger.  Like all the Courtois horns from this period, it plays like butter, with a silky tone and excellent slotting.  S/n 14XXX should make it right about 1963.  It is in exceptional condition for a vintage horn:  lacquer is about 95% with just very minor scratches and wear.  No dents, no signs of dent removal or other repairs.  Serialized valves are fast and quiet, all tuning slides free including the trigger dump slide.  Comes with case in good condition and two keys, and a Courtois 4-1/2D mouthpiece.  Blue Juice valve oil and slide grease for local pickup only; these can't be shipped.  A classic flugel from a great period, and likely the nicest you’ll ever see.  This example sold in September 2021 for $1,799 + $220 in taxes and shipping.
